Whoever bought this probably overpaid ...

... but, wow, I like the look! Opinions?

I like the look too. Are those scratches in the reverse field?

I do not know the series, but, perhaps a rare Overton variety?

That coin caught my eye and I considered bidding...if everything is as it appears in the photos, I don't think that the buyer overpaid .
It doesn't look quite XF but if it was to come back graded 30 or 35 ?
    Plus nice and original look.
    Plus early date....
  • It caught my eye, too, obviously. The "originality" factor is off the scale for me. Are there any possible problems that wouldn't show up in the photos?

Looks good to me. I don't see any problems that may not show up in the photos. The photos appear to be unmessed with. However, coin-in-hand is always better than any picture. There may be some very light scratches, however nothing distracting. Bob

    Some deep scratches too!!

Light scratches in field by eagle's head.

But look at '50c' and by the left leaves......Gouges!!

The obverse sings for the grade level. Some concerns on the reverse, somewhat hidden. The price is a little high for me but seems about right in the market at the moment. I wouldn't kick it out of my collection if I had it, I guess.
