Cool stuff... dug TODAY!

I posted this on US Coins, though three of the four coins are Darkside. The "big gun" is an early US coin I'm holding back for the moment, to build up suspense, haha. There was a nifty artifact I'll be posting soon, too.

    What is this !
    Habsburg Talers

TalerUniverse.com is a curated numismatic project dedicated to the silver talers, crowns, and medals of the Habsburg Empire and the Holy Roman Empire, spanning the 16th–18th centuries. The collection emphasizes historically significant issues, rare mint varieties, and high-grade NGC/PCGS examples, presented with detailed historical context, scholarly references, and high-resolution photography. TalerUniverse aims to serve both as a private collection showcase and a growing reference resource for collectors, researchers, and students of early-modern European coinage.

That is a silver pommel decoration (butt plate) from an 18th century flintlock pistol.

Wow, NOBODY read the thread, did they? They all just skimmed the pictures. image

(I can't say much on that score- I'm bad about that myself.)

And before anybody else congratulates me on my find, I didn't find this stuff... my friends did!
