Which auction site has the best delievery time??

I asked the other day about pictures now I would like y'all's opinion about
who gets your coins to you the fastest after you pay? Just auction sites not
the Bay or dealers. You can also give mention to who is the slowest if you like.

IMO Teletrade <---- Fastest Slowest ----> Heritage

That's quick! Kudos to them for great service. I have received stuff from HA, Teletrade and Bowers(now Stack's Bowers) in the 7-10 day range which I think is good....once it was within the same week with HA. I have heard about long delays with Stack's Bowers but have not experienced it myself.

You have to consider some differences between true auctions when discussing delivery times. Coins are sent to various locations for Lot Viewing. These coins have to make it back to home base before shipping. Other's stay at one location so those should ship quicker.

Would this really be a determining factor in your coin purchases?

    I agree!

  • Although I buy much more from Heritage than anywhere else, they are, without doubt, the slowest of shippers. Just my experience.

Quite possibly, after sitting on my money for 3 weeks and having to resort to telephone calls and multiple emails Stacks finally shipped my lots after the August auction (and it still took another 5 days for them to arrive). I am so PO'd with them I may well not bid there any more. I think they have just gotten so big so quick they have let the customer service side of the business slide.

After the Heritage Long Beach auction I had everything in hand in 1 week, they will continue to get my business. Goldbergs has also been very good over the years but they no longer seem to attract the top pieces in the areas I collect.

Solely on the basis of shipping and nothing more, I give DLRC high marks.

I didn't ask if it had any factor just thoughts about shipping times. To answer your
question without out a question, No it would not. image

Good if you are there, otherwise I have waited nearly six weeks for a significant purchase. Goldbergs has been good, so has Heritage. The worst was HR Harmer from when they were doing the ABNCo auctions a few years ago - waited 7-8 weeks.

Not me, price is more important.

Based upon my recent experiences along with recent comments from customers and dealer friends. DLRC, Goldbergs, Great Collection are great. Stacks/Bowers improved, Heritage dead last and becoming worse.

From fastest to slowest, based on personal experience:

    1. Great Collections
    2. Teletrade
    3. Stack's-Bowers (we'll see how they do after the latest Philly auction)
    4. Heritage (slower than they were a year ago, except for next-day shipment of Platinum Night coins)

    No experience with others.
