question on china 1/10 oz gold panda

At the Rosemont ANA show a few weeks ago i was there to pick up some silver eagles, silver pandas and a few US $5 gold commem's and a 1/10oz gold eagle.. My girlfriend talked me into buying a 1988 1/10 oz gold panda instead of the gold eagle because pandas are cute. Anyway it's in a slab thats close to the size of an old ANACS slab and says certifed Panda-Pak on the back but theres no grade on the front just China, PANADA, the year, 1/10oz and what looks like a serial number. What exactly is panda-pak?
