Hmm. I would gladly pay you (10% down and the balance) on "Tuesday" for an apple pie today image

all I got for u is hamburgers !

    But hey - after posting to another thread - I realized I got no right to pass judgement on the o.p's motives or morals ;

I apologize and will try to keep my posts positive and non-judgmental
  • Yeah Groiny, me too. There is not enough, or too much, to tell what is going on. I at least can not follow it directly. As I said before, I sincerely hope all turns out well for the OP. image

<< <i>I am only going by what the buyer told me. In a recent PM he stated it was at the PO and that they attempted delivery and a slip was left. No attempt was made, and no slip was left. My family is extremely good friends with our Mailman and he lives right up the street from me, he never forgets to leave a slip. The buyer is telling me the item is at the post office and they are going to return it to him if i dont pick it up. Went there and they dont have it!

this is the number he gave me, which doesnt work.

U.S.P.S. Insured Domestic Only Over $200. I have a small stack of these that I occassionally use. I suppose I've had them a couple of years now. On the bottom they read: "PS Form 3813-P, May 2007" (I assume the date of printing). All begin with VH..... not VF. Another poster also stated VH was the beginning of this "code".

Just saying and adding to the drama. image >>

They do not have to begin with VH or VF. I have multiple forms for each type of service that I keep at home and this level of service has more than one two-letter combination at the beginning. Both VH and VF are represented in the stack that I have at home.

<< <i>This doesn't make sense if a slip was left. I thought the postmaster is involved now. Was he told this information.:Let the buyer relay this information to the postmaster so he can get the package. >>

What do you think the postmaster would do first? Ask to see the tracking report, of course. Then he would know if it was there and delivery attempted.

It depends on where you are. Tracking numbers insured/registered/etc.are coded by area. Mine here in Iowa start with VH. I have one in my hands now.

All internal tracking numbers start with 2 letters have 9 numbers and end with US. The first 2 letters determine the the type of service and the area where it originates from.

yes and i told you earlier this morning, it was CHANGED because people came to the wrong conclusion. >>

You changed it because it didn't further your delusion that the buyer is a dishonest so-and-so who is trying to swindle you out of your precious coin.
People called you on it, so then you changed the facts of the issue.

All Express numbers start with E_, where the second letter is variable. Registered are the same way with R_.

I read the first 50 posts and then got dizzy but this question has been driving me nuts....

    DO YOU HAVE INSURANCE?

Shouldn't you have your collection covered which includes mailing? I know there is an expense to it but it certainly makes sense to me if you are mailing out $2k worth coins without full/cleared funds upfront.
