How to you feel when spot prices drop around/during a show?

To me it changes the feel for the show all together.

When spots going up feels like the dealers are in a good mood with a desire to make deals.

When things move south I feel like they do not want to cut many deals other then buying coins at the new lower price.

Although it should not affect non bullion related items I surely feel a difference in all categorizes.

At CSNS this year, silver went from $43 to $49 during the show. People were looking for junk silver that had yesterday's price tags on it at dealers who hadn't gotten the word. The next week it was in the mid $30s. There are probably people who left the show in a good mood, buoyed perhaps by spending another day or two taking in the ambiance of the greater Rosemont area, only to have silver take a trip through the toilet while their flight home was still in the air.

If you ask the dealers, Long beach has a long history of metals sliding down...Yes, it does take the fun out of a show.

I like it when gold goes down. makes it a little easier to buy great coins!!!!

Sort of the opposite of what I'd expect from HRH. I'd think the kinds of great coins he's playing with are fairly unaffected by bullion, and that with gold going up he could trade in a smaller stack of his bullion for the Great Coins.
