A light has gone out and we are much the worse for it. Condolences to the family, he will be remembered as he touched many.

I went back and re-read my pms with Mark. We had exchanged some good natured comments about "junk silver" vs. "junk copper." He then showed me his "junk silver" collection - WOW! Such a great loss to our community....

A tremendous loss to our community! I met Mark in person twice and his father once. Both extremely nice and class acts!

This is the saddest news I have heard on this forum.

He was one of my best friends here on these boards.

    ---
I just read through all the posts from fellow members, and I must thank you all for your condolences.
And of course Stephen, for having the strength to communicate with us. It is greatly appreciated.
Please let me know where I can donate my time and other resources for Mark. Mark would go out of
his way to assist me with projects and other coin stuff, so I would be honored to repay him in any
    means possible.

Mark, Family, and Friends, you are with me in my prayers. Always and forever............... image

He was a pleasure to deal with and also a pleasure to read all his posts. He will be missed. My condolences to his family and friends.

  • I just returned from vacation and saw this message. I am very, very sad.
Rarely can you feel someones excitement through their written word. That was not the case with Mark. You could feel and hear it in all his posts.
I always enjoyed hearing of his relationship with his father. Pure, honest buddies. I hope that when my son grows older, we can have a similar relationship.
My heartfelt condolences go out to the Pettys.

Very sad to hear of this. He was way too young. Too many good people are leaving us of late.
    RIP Mark

My heart goes out to you Stephen. Shocking news and I don't want to even imagine being in your place.

Mark will be missed by many. I'll miss having him tease me with an 1867 trime.

    With sadness,

    K
  • I am still in complete shock over his untimely passing. Thanks for the info RYK!
