Au 55---no CAC due to the marks on the face.

I'm going to guess NGC called it an MS62 based off that response.

Looks like a 55 to me though.

Ill go a MS 60 or 61. I always grade these too harshly and this time im gonna be a little more forgiving. My harsh grade was AU 53-55. BUT I think this will do better than everyone else is thinking.

    61 or 62.

Often I'm surprised at how little difference in quality there is from AU58 to MS62 in these early date $10 Indians.
You can submit them one week and get 58's, next time you get 61's and 62's.

There is visible wear on that coin, I would be shocked if it's in an MS holder. AU53 is my guess.

i'd let people keep guessing, but you are all too good. you know this series well.

of course, the coin looks much better in hand. the luster is what caught my eye...and can't really be captured in a photo...at least not with my skills! ;-)

i am not crying over it, honestly, because i picked it up for a really good deal and I believe it's a solid 58.

Don't take the "AU-53" grades to heart. This coin is what used to be bought and sold as "Commercial Uncirculated"
by gold dealers. It should NEVER be graded less than AU-58, unless there is a problem that cannot be seen in the
images. I have seen much worse in MS-61 holders.

I agree with the AU55 - ers above. Just a nice, solid, example of one of our premier gold coins. A treat to own.
