yeah not the best pics . Just trying to get an idea what a 2 cent clip goes for. Just an odd denomination.

Why are you doing his job? Shouldn't he be doing his own research? Something like this is very esoteric and you are probably his only customer that would be a serious buyer.

Seriously -- if you discover a "common" coin is a rare variety, are you supposed to tell him what it is so he can jack up the asking price for you?

Not sure what it's worth but errors on 2 centers are scarce.

I kinda was thinking the same thing. These coins he is showing me for purchase have sat been burried and brought back to life. Why am I doing the work IDK I figure its better to do that than let them sit longer and get lost again. But then its an ethical issue when you discover something and want to buy it how much info do you give the dealer for a fair field. The way these are sitting they could sit 10 more years and not missed. I scored the 99 WAMs this way from a consignment. 75.00 per was a good price. with 3 over XF grade. I mean if i come back to him with nothing I know he wont sell. So basically a rock and a hardplace here. All i want is a fair thing where i come out a little ahead. Im bias but im doing all the work here. Shouldnt that count for something?

On the other side of the coin: I got a ticket from the local police where my dealer is and the no parking sign was covered by tree leaves and no yellow paint on the curb. He did offer to cover half the ticket cause he felt bad. I felt that I should mention that cause most dealers would be like sucks for you. Wanted to share that.

There is no reason you should be researching (for free, from what I assume from your post) the dealer's coins.
That's his job. If he's too lazy to do it, then he deserves to get hosed if he under-prices his coins.

im not going crazy deep into exactly what it is. but a clipped 2 cent is what we both see and what he wants to move and me buy. Any other things about the coin i discover is my discovery. Thats why im looking for a range on a clipped 2 cent piece. so i can bring that to him get the coin and see what else cool is up with it image
