Two Early Dollars added at the ANA show

My Colonial collection grew to a whopping 5 coins at this years ANA thanks to the addition of these two early dollars
The first coin I looked at when I hit the bourse floor was the Continental dollar that CRO had listed on their website ......... big mistake because the coin was even better in hand than the Mark Goodman images which are very good but don't capture the luster and semi prooflike flash on the fields of the coin ... then again I don't think it is possible to capture detail, color and luster all in one image but what do I know?
I say it was a "big mistake" because I spent the next 2 hours obsessing about the coin and trying to rationalize spending six figures on a Colonial coin which is an area I know almost nothing about. It was at that moment that a new "set" was born. I decided that this coin was not only "acceptable" but absolutely necessary for my new dollar type set ........ a perfect fit because it also filled a big hole in my aforementioned Colonial set
Anybody thinking OCD yet?
I want to thank Dave and John with an assist from Tony Terranova for making this addition to my collection possible.

The next day Lakesamman flew in and after a little horse trading I acquired this cool Pillar dollar which as you now know is a very important type for the new dollar type set
Thanks again Lakes. I am looking forward to our next trade whatever that may be?

Not really looking for much these days but if I were, it might be a toner.
Both of your new additions are fab. I hope you are saving some dough for a Gobrecht and small eagle Early dollar
BTW, did you beat Lakes out of the 1760, or did you have to pay him?
I still vote bar cent next.....
Tom
Congrats on a great acquisition.
