Bought a new camera today. Point and shoot of course
Canon Powershot S95.
Now I have to figure out the white balance and s few other things, but I'm liking this one already.
Anyone own of of these? If so any tips?
I also have to get a better lighting set up, maybe tomorrow I going to go and buy some lights.

This one is a little fuzzy, trying to hurry before the battery went dead.

Ok, tweaked it a little bit and the battery is charged, so I played around a little more.......whatcha say

to manually set white balance,
in a shooting mode,
press function
go down to white balance,
then all the way over to manual white balance,
make sure the flash is off first by the way
and then hold over a white paper with your light on
and press menu

for coins you would probably be best in macro mode, and perhaps manual focus
and your photos are very good already

A pair of cheap gooseneck lamps purchased at a hardware store ought to give you the flexibility in positioning the lights that you need.
Make certain that both lights are exactly the same sort of light to avoid color casting problems.

Stefanie, I've always been in awe of your ability to image coins with less. In this latest instance "less is more" and I'm impressed!
Cheers!
