1927 2 1/2 dollar ???

Hi,

An older retired friend (mid 70's) asked me a few times about selling these 3 coins he has had for 30+ years.
I guess he is ready now. After browsing previous threads on this coin I have a few questions I hope someone can help me with so I can help my friend sell these.

1. I read that this year is often counterfieted. do these look genuine.
2. Should these be certified before selling to prove they are genuine. The first coin has a nasty scratch on it and will not grade.
3. Most of the raw I saw on eBay sold around $300+ MS ones over $400. Do you think #2 or 3 will grade high enough to warrant submitting.

Sorry for the poor pics, I took them at work.

Rookie Joe,

He also has a few other items that were pretty cool. My camera battery died out in the middle of pics I will redo them on Friday.
George II coin as the base for some kind of cup, I only took a quick look at it but will take pics on Friday.

    These are all genuine, IMHO.

Coin #1 definitely intrinsic value only.

Coin #2 has noticeable contact marks in the obverse field at bridge of nose. Not likely to merit a Mint State certified grade.

Coin #3 the image is too grainy to determine surface quality, but it does appear to have foreign matter in portions of the incuse devices, including the date. Not likely to be a candidate for grading either, unless much better images provide a more accurate evaluation.

The first one looks like it has a staple scratch and won't grade. None appear to be Mint State.
