OT - Any Usenet users, I can really use some help, please?

I am trying to foster the creation of a new Usenet group about the upcoming Fox show "X-Factor," with Simon Cowell. I have official approval by the Usenet governing hierarchy (yes, one really does exist) for the creation of rec.arts.tv.x-factor as a potential new newsgroup.

Now I need about a dozen people to make one, simple post to the newsgroup named news.groups.proposals that you are in favor of the group and that you either would be a participant in it, or will seriously consider being a participant. Obviously "being a participant" is better but I don't want anyone to lie.

We really only need about a dozen people posting a one sentence statement of support/participation to, most likely achieve it.

The problem is that just like rec.collecting.coins had to go through hoops to get officially started, those of us who are serious X-Factor fans (number 1 reality tv show in the world) now must do the same.

If you can help me ("us," actually...out), I would be most grateful.

One post, to one newsgroup, one time is all that is needed.

BTW, it is a rare, moderated newsgroup (news.groups.proposals) by the Usenet hierarchy, in order to keep spammers and PITAs out. So, if you are able to assist me and don't see your post immediately show up, please understand that it has gone through and is in the queue for being posted.

Thanks for your consideration. If anyone is going to help us, I'd very much appreciate a PM so I can keep track of supporters just in case anything gets missed before our deadline, roughly in the next 7-10 days.

In the meantime, I hope the heat isn't causing anyone any personal health or private problems!

Just bumping up for the cause, if anyone would be kind enough to lend a hand? Thanks again!
