Ok can we shut down this Key Word Spammer.

Autions title: 1886 O KEY DATE MORGAN RARE AU 58 NEAR MS PCGS NGC NR
Link to the auction of a Morgan in non approved slab.

Not sure what kind of old slab it's in but it sure is not on the list as far as I know. Teed me off as I was kind of looking for one of them in a PCGS slab at that grade to replace the molted toned one I have.
Yes I reported it but it still has not gone away.

PCI slab, and probably meets the definition of AU, it's keyword misrepresentation though.

EDIT: The pics aren't good enough to make a judgement on grade.

I don't understand your problem with this auction. He's selling a P C I slab that eBay does
not feel is worhty to have the name of the TPG in the title. I have a few of these slabs and maybe
they are not on the same level with one of the other big names I never felt it was quite right to
band their name from auction titles. If I got upset with every seller that has drawn me to their
auctions because of the words in the title or description I'd be one upset camper.

Ok but my point is this seller is using blurry photos, an untrue title, and shipping is $9.00 for what costs less the $2.00 to mail.
Sorry if you don't think he should not have to abide by rules most of us have to follow.

While I agree with you in principal, the line either has to be drawn somewhere -or- not at all. eBay drew the line with an approved certification list.

As such, the coin is to be treated as raw and he has multiple violations:

    - can't name any certification services
    - can't list a numeric grade in the title

I am just saying that if you report every single seller that uses words to attract
buyers to their auctions then there would be a lot less sellers. You know as well
as I do that eBay is not concerned with these types they only want their fees.
Blurry photos, very small photos and the words in tiltes that say Rare, Very Scarce
and the like used to depict a coin that is in essence simply a common coin is so very
prevalent with these type of sellers. Just like the hotel buyers of silver and gold and
other snake oil sellers. L D , no need to apologize to me but I do not think it is fair either
but what ya goin to do, report them all??

Only if we let it be.
I have seen this group shut down scams and sellers that did not even realize that they were selling bogus goods. I just think we can help the hobby in the long run by shutting down those try to scam the less knowing and especially the newcomers to the hobby.
I know that in the old day’s eBay was what brought me back to coin collecting. Took a long time before I got over to this place and realized some of the mistakes I had made. Sure glad a few of those old style slabs crossed but most did not and still have a bad ACG taste from the burning I took.
