Colonel Jessup's 1000th post giveaway
is not a giveaway, but a donation
I've mentioned numerous times, as have many estimable characters posting here, of the value I see in supporting the ANA Summer Seminar program. Check this out on the ANA website money.org
And as are quite a few others here, I'm an instructor again this year.
Counterfeit detection. EAC. Photography. Minting art and the minting process. Darkside. Currency. Fraud and safety tips. "Lie, Cheat, and Steal". More world class graders in one building anywhere outside an ANA or FUN convention. Intro, Intermediate, Advanced US? Ask one a stupid question. Odds-on he'll have made the same mistake. And more than once.
Ask other forumites of the virtues of so many proactive answers to making the hobby more enjoyable for all and less dangerous for beginners. And the camaraderie is irreplaceacble.
So my 1000th post giveaway is a donation. Yours and mine. I've already made all the necessary arrangements with the folks at ANA headquarters to segregate the money until the ANA convention and keep track of our progress.
Make checks payable to
Florence Schook School of Numismatics
and note on the check "PCGS Forum donation"
Send to
ANA

Attn: Ann Rahn
If for any reason you wish your donation NOT to be listed by name in "The Numismatist" put a note in requesting anonymity along with the check.
Oh... my part.
1000th post. I'll match the first $1000.00 in donations
I've got a plane to catch to Colorado Springs.

I note, Col. Jessup, that you are only four (count 'em -- 4) posts away from having to make good on your pledge. Better dust off that wallet and let the moths escape!
