I think it is. The seller knows their stuff and the rims don't look like the rims of a coin with Good details. Cool coin that was mishandled in the most collected series says 799$ is a fair if not somewhat unrealistic asking price

I'd like it more in a holder that states what it is...
"You keep your 1804 dollar and 1822 half eagle -- give me rainbow roosies in MS68."

It does not look like a die adjustment strike to me.

I don;t believe it's a die adjustment strike anymore than I believe that these three are.

Both top coins are filled die error's while the bottom coin is just a lowly AU55.
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

Nothing unusual about that wear pattern on either the front or back. I don't agree with the seller.

I'd be a little miffed if I'd ponied up $50 for mint error certification, and it wasn't on the holder, even if the coin had problems. Perhaps PCGS disagreed that it was a die adjustment strike?

It's not a Die Adjustment Strike,
or a Set Up Strike, or anything similar.

From what I can see, it's either a very
weak strike on the obv. (can't tell from
the slightly blurry rev., but it's probably
a filled die obv. at best.

In any case, it's not worth $200, much
    less $800, imo.

Ya know, I looked at the enlargements,
and I'm fairly certain it's a worn, typical
weak strike 21......nothing special at all.
