Rare Coin Website Domains

It's very important to have a relevant web domain to match ones website and ones name. The name should be relevant to what the business does. Domain names in some industries have sold for a lot of money. I remember a chinese guy buying thailand.com making a lot of money when he resold it, if I remember correctly it was sold for $3 Million although I don't remember if that was Baht or Dollars.

In any event as more sellers, buys, exhibitors, collectors etc become more knowledgable about the internet and realize how valuable it can be to have a website that's actually seen on the net, specific to the coin business/hobby/investment/whatever domain names should become quite valuable. How specific? Try type 1 double eagles.com , THAT specific )

Here's a website that buys and sells domain names. I found it interesting to see some of the prices on some rather worthless names ( I'm not saying that necessarily about all of them )

I do not own any of those domains nor do I have an interest in the company promoting them. I DO have an investment in some 100+ domains as just a little lagniappe in my own savings plans but they are now available at this time.

I sold devious.net a while back for $500 bucks. I own only one domain today and have had it since 1999, heliospace.com. There's a website that's been developed for it. Not coin related. The primary focus of Heliospace in its infancy was to get to Mars by 2015. Yes, I am pro space colonization. :-)

Anyway, domain estate used to be a huge market. Don't know if it still is. I am content in owning my one and only. Maybe in the near future, I'll have some coins on there. I plan on it. I'm not doing anything else with it these days other than e-mail.

And yes, there are domains out there that they ask quite a sum of money for garbage.

I have a lot of coin related websites and maybe one day will find someone to build them out.

Some like MS60.com have added value because they are 4 long.
