I am one of those people who almost always feels sorry for the victim. In this case, though, those 98 people who already bought these ... i just can't bring myself to feel anything for them.

Somebody should select quantity of 1000, and then ignore invoices. This should get sLeazeBay's attention. This is exactly the kind of activity that the D.O.J. needs to investigate and slam eBay hard on.

I looked at this ad earlier this afternoon. I saw Hong Kong and that was enough to red flag it for me. Are you guys hinting that these are fake?

I for one believe that the tax revenue sleazeBay pulls in for the gulag of Californicate is one possible reason that the Fed hasn't stepped in yet.

Here's how I make my real money: New kitty Shopping reusable Tote bag Handbag = $.99.

Forty Gs on the fake Peaces; not bad. Why would eBay think anything was up? Looks like it's not all about the buyers after all.

    103 sold

Well that buyers protection they've been advertising all over the place is going to get put to the test for 103 + buyers on this one for sure.

I do feel sorry for victims, but if they would just do a little homework, they would figure out you don't get Peace dollars for $3.99 each.

The next thing you know, these will be offered on Ebay from domestic sellers for $25 and up.

My guess is this was planned now for a year, since the account has been up since May of 2010. Build up good feedback with a bunch of trinkets, then dump these on the market and take it and run.

Won't PayPal hold the funds for feedback or 90 days?
  • Options
You've got to wonder how many buyers are really victims and who are domestic scammers seeing an opportunity. These won't be marked as copies and might pass a rough photo, craigslist or any number of avenues of disposal.
I think that's a great point about buyer protection , it's a big hit and bigger by morning i'd bet.

Buyer protection man , ebay will have to eat this one. There may be a few who dont realise they have fakes but the majority will ..maybe not come to think of it....never mind : )

Im sure some of these buyer are purchasing them knowing they are fakes, only to flip them on eBay for a tidy profit. Sad.

If Ebay wakes up, they may be able to contact the buyers and reverse the payments. If anyone is awake...image

Maybe they're legitimate? I mean, right, coming from China. Maybe these were the ones used to screw us all? Okay, so I read some feedback. One guy said FAKE on some shoes. Everybody else was happy! Hey, if it looks as good as the real deal...

The coins in the picture appear to be genuine.
But, the wording of the auction is evasive and maybe you only get ONE coin for $399.99.
Or the whole thing is a simple fraud with no intent to deliver.

I'm not seeing it DC , evasive in what way ?

It looks like the ad is finally gone. I think at least 110 people bought into it before it was pulled.

That is quite a few customers eBay lost with that listing. I should be happy from my own business standpoint, but this is fraud... and eBay lets it happen. So wrong.

Pointless debating it now , but from what i seen it was very clear and said several times the buyer gets 100 peace dollars , it also mentions 5 rolls , what did others think that actually seen the listing ?

I agree with you, it clearly stated 100 Peace Dollars 5 rolls for buy it now price $399.99 well at least they finally shut it down after 110 plus soon to be disgruntled Ebay buyers purchased them. Hopefully those buyers won't get their $399.99 held hostage for 30 days since it required immediate payment while Ebay trys to sort out the chaos.
