What is PCGS's guarantee on RD and RB copper?

Please bring me up to date on this. I have a number of PCGS Lincolns that I've owned for 10+ years and I'm just now looking at them again after several years being in safe storage (I'm in the process of moving). Most of these coins look perfectly fine, but a few appear to disagree with their color designation.

If you've owned the coin for 10 years, the color guarantee still applies.

The color guarantee does not apply if the coin in question was slabbed or bought after January 1, 2010.

Also depends on how/where you stored them. If you live in a very humid area or stored that at the bottom of your pool, then you are SOL

So how does one go about proving that they've owned their coin for 10 years? Sales receipt?

??? So I have to prove that I've not stored the coin at the bottom of a pool? What humidity level is permissible? Sorry, but this seems arbitrary.

Right form the PCGS website:

IMPORTANT: Because the color and surfaces of copper coins can change due to environmental factors, PCGS does not guarantee the color of copper coins, or the absence of copper spotting, for any PCGS graded copper coin graded or sold after January 1, 2010.

Wouldn't the burden of proof be on PCGS to prove otherwise if you said you owned the coin before 01/01/2010?

It is, and I'm not sure how they have gotten away with this without someone bringing a law suit. For the average collector, there is nothing to worry about for PCGS; however, look at a lot of the early date keys that have become RB or BN in PCGS (and other companies too) holders. When coins worth moon money come into play, there will be more opportunity to challenge it.
