Ok lets get started on the PCGS 2.5 census report!

To keep the number of posts to a minimum, please consolidate your PCGS 2.5 holdings to one posting per member or send me a pm.

This is per conder101's book on such slab:

PCGS 2.5
This slab was discovered after the initial posting of this thread ad posted here by mgoodm3. It is he same as PCGS 2 in all ways except for the adition of the companies initials at the top center of the front label. Since then I have seen a few other specimens but it seems to be much scarcer than PCGS 2. My guess is that it was probably produced during the last week or so of Nov 1989.

Note that the label (tag) has serrated edges and the corners are NOT ROUNDED OFF. Also the PCGS serial number starts AFTER the bar coding starts.

Note; I apologize for the delay in getting the census up and running. I have been real busy at work and also traveling. I will get to it real soon.

Man, I gotta stop sellin THESE to you guys too????? I can't even contribute to THIS thread, now!!! I was picking up Doilies, 2.0's, 2.5's and 3.5's on the cheap (read, same prices for the coins that are in current holders...meaning CHEAP!) before the 'mania' started. If I still had all the ones I sold to forum members, my tuition would be paid, and I'd have a decent start for grad school, given the prices they are going for now!!!

I'm just glad that I'm able to help you guys that aren't on a student's salary (read, POOR COLLEGE STUDENT...LOL) obtain something you seek, and add to your collections (and put some $$ towards tuition, books, beer, etc...stuff college students NEED! lol). I gotta sit down and try to figure how many of these I've parted with....then again, perhaps I shouldn't, as I might get sick! lol (to those I've sold them to, I'm j/k....makes me feel like I'm at least contributing SOMETHING to this forum! lol)

I actually found images of 2 2.5's I USED to own...the Wash/Carver was talked about, and posted a few times, by it's previous owner, until I snagged it awhile ago, before the 'mania' started (hope the new owner doesn't mind my posting them):

I bought one today 1885-0 P64 full obverse toner. Pics to follow, I did not buy this one to keep so I need to make sure I have this holder somewhere. I am fairly sure I have a few DMpl's in the holder.
