I have moved my office across town to a shop. I guess now I am a B&M shop since I am open to the public.

It gets pretty dang toasty warm in Tucson.
I spent last week moving, but took some time out to go to the Baltimore show. Now, I have stacks of books everywhere. Although we are open for walk-in business, I don't expect to be totally open for walk-in traffic until after the ANA show. I'll be at the Summer Seminar next week and no one actually lives in Tucson this time of year. We'll advertise a grand opening around September 1.

Many years ago I was in Tucson in July to testify as an expert witness in a criminal case. Had a day to kill, so I rented a car and went out to the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum. I highly recommend it.
Came out about 1PM, temperature above 100, and opened the car and stood back. While I was waiting, two young Japanese tourists ladies saw me looking at a map and asked me how far it was to "Old Tucson," a tourist attraction. I said go out of the parking lot, turn right and it's about 8 kilometers. They said thank you and left.
After I got the car and the air conditioning running and waited a few minutes, I took off. Got onto the road, and there they were walking down the road! They were going to walk the five miles, with no hats and no water. I insisted on giving them a ride. They had come out by cab, and thought they could walk to their next stop.

Unfortunately all the mountains is southern AZ are closed due to fire hazard. We're are all stuck in the heat.
No disrespect meant, but I think there's a double standard in the air. JMHO.

This reminds me of when I had to change my 800-number. A few years ago, the national call center number for Fandango, the movie ticket company, was one digit off my 800-number. I got tons of misdialed calls on the weekends. so I changed the prefix to 866. Unfortunately, I had put my 800-number in my books, and on the tokens that I handed out. I let the 800 number go and it got picked up by a porn site. I should have kept it just so it couldn't be reissued.

You should have taken advantage of the jump-start and gotten into the tix business.

I've been in business since 1992. I had an office which was by appointment only. Now I accept walk-in traffic, promote my business more in the local market and will have some display items. I will still buy and sell the best Flying Eagle and Indian Cents on the market, issue photo seals and set up at major shows. I will have to hire an assistant numismatist.

Yah, no kidding. A major, well respected dealer is leaving the US-- I think that warrants news. I throw up and pass out naked in the bushes every weekend and no one cares, but let Justin Beiber do it just *once* and it's headline news.
