Legend's take on Baltimore
Walker Proof Digital Album
Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......

I take a little issue with her statement:
<< <i>Like it or not quality and CAC stickered coins rule. >>
First, as a part owner in CAC, Legend has a structural bias in favor of CAC.
Second, at least in the early copper community and market, slabs are barely tolerated and I don't know anyone who cares if an early copper coin is "CAC'd" or not.
<< <i>I enjoy Laura's Market Reports as well.

Read the huge disclaimer in RED. In the market area that Legend operates in, CAC stickered coins rule.

The market area that deals exclusively in CAC coins?
Not really looking for much these days but if I were, it might be a toner.

Believe it or not, retail is by far a minority of Legend's sales. While their retail is CAC only, a huge amount of sales [collectors selling, auction, wholesale] are not.
<< <i>you've been scooped >>
I guess so. I searched the word "Legend" before I posted this and nothing but my old stuff came out on top so I figured it wasn't listed yet. Anyways, I'm in Italy so cut me some slack

Fixed it for you.
And yes, it was CAC'd.
YET AGAIN WE MUST REMIND EVERYONE THESE REPORTS WE POST ARE FOR LEGENDS CUSTOMER BASE.
What I'm surprised is not written, as it always has been in the past, is how it was a lousy show for everyone but us. We sold a record $100000000000000000 in coins

So what's your point? If you're just going to make wrong and snarky comments, why post?

I guess my point is that one doesn't have to be rich to be smarmy. (I didn't appreciate it when you
did the same thing to one of my posts a few weeks back.)

The difference is that mine was funny.

True. I guess I'll have to settle for "accurate"...
That's why I opted to just walk the floor and buy. Picked up a great collection of Civil War Tokens put together by Jeff Shevlin (The So-Called dollar guy).
One dealer had all CAC stickered coins, but was asking stupid money for the ones I checked. For instance, for a FE cent in MS64 which should sell between $1500 and $1750 if it were all-there (Eagle Eye Photo Seal quality), he was asking $2250. I asked where he got that price, and he said it's a CAC-stickered coin, so that's what its worth, as if the coin was something really special, which it wasn't.
It is one thing to sell sell stickered coins for more than non-stickered coins, but the price also has to be realistic, or you can get burned just as bad by an over-priced stickered coin than by a low end non-stickered coin.
<< <i>I would say it would be prudent to take advantage of slower shows. You can sometimes get good deals on great coins. I also like to bid on auctions that are under-attended.

I think that is true...... especially for widgets like the example you gave , ....a cac ms 64 FE cent. ( That is not a dreck coin)
I give away money. I collect money.
I don’t love money . I do love the Lord God.
