Seated Dime Variety Numbers
My date set of seated dimes was acquired before Fortin began his numbering system so I'm trying to attribute each of the coins.
Does it really matter what number they are if they are not in the top 100 varieties or anything less than an R-3 if they are in the top 100?
BTW - I found one of the 100 - an 1847 F#101 which is so easy to see you don't need a loupe.
My eyes hurt looking for hidden pieces of dates in the base and looking for ghosts of repunched dates.
Not a die crack in the bunch which I thought was a sign that I had purchased nice coins - who knew?

Many of the coins Gerry has listed are rather rare and not listed in Greer.
The common ones maybe not so much but the R6 coins, yes.
Buying top quality Seated Dimes in Gem BU and Proof.
Buying great coins - monster eye appeal only.

Thanks - that helps a lot. I'm positive I don't even have an R-5
