How long will it take for the money to appear in my account?

When a buyer sends you a payment through PayPal, the money is usually available in your PayPal account right away. However, in some cases, the payment might be "pending" for a few days, or it might be held by PayPal for up to 21 days. Find out more about pending payments.

Is it good to leave feedback right away if you have not been sent the item, what if there is a dispute? I did paypal with a credit card.

    Thanks

No. Do NOT leave feedback until you receive the item.

Exactly, your payment is pending until you recieve the item from the seller. If they are a new seller that is what they have to do to get recognized as being an honest seller. Don't leave feedback until you recieve the item in hand and it is as described.

If you made payment, Paypal has the money but may be holding it from the buyer. He is not supposed to wait until paypal releases the funds to him. He is required to ship once the details page tells him "OK to ship." Also possible that paypal is holding back his funds waiting on him to fullfill a requirement to submit seller documentation before they release the funds to him. Either way once the money shows up in his paypal account and the payment is not "pending," he is required to ship. "Pending" means paypal is waiting on the money transfer from your bank or they have randomly flagged it for review, neither of which should take more than 10 days. If payment is "pending" you will be able to see it in paypal.

File a paypal dispute immediatly "Item Not Received." That will get the ball rolling on you getting your item or getting your money back. It will motivate your seller as it is in his best interest to resolve the dispute ASAP. I find paypal disputes work better than Ebay disputes. Paypal is controlling the money, that's who you want invovled with the dispute.
