I first really started collecting in 1976 and don't recall a "hot" card. Cards weren't really worth money then, so a 'hot' card was considered any Pirate card in Central PA. If I had to pick one it would be the Stargell.
The Bash Brother's baby! I was a huge Conseco fan.. But the card that resonates most in my memory was my dad's Jordan Star rookie, only because it was of him getting a dam rebound and by far the most expensive Jordan rookie!!

The Mick back in 1959 hands down.Yogi was up there too.Locally I grew up in Northeast part of Detroit and you had to have the Kaline,Maxwell and Kuenn Cards without a doubt.No rookie card hoopla in those days.
Nope, not at all. It was BEFORE the Halloween movies, and growing up in Salem, Massachusetts you see much scarier things walking around downtown on any Halloween. (and most other nights for that matter)
