Non reeded quarter

Just got a 79 quarter in change. It's all kind of dirty which caught my eye. Looked more closely and the edge isn't reeded

Can't get a pic up now. Doesn't look machined or worn just looks like the blank never got reeded

Error guys. If legit is it worth more than a quarter?

Yup. Being used repeatedly in slot machines will peen the edge until the reeding is gone.

Remember that copper is much softer than the copper nickel clading and as such will wear quicker than the coins obverse and reverse surfaces.
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.
