  He is from West Springfield. I work in Springfield everyday and just dodged it as I got done early today.
  I was literally in the south end about 2 hours before it hit... It was kind of weird because I was a block
  away from what appeared to be a shooting. Lots of police activity and then this..

  Just watching the news and I guess it hit West Springfield too and a lot of people there
  are out of power!! Wow I hope he is alright.

  Hope he is ok... I was in some hurricanes in Florida losing power for a month or 2 sometimes.... I know tornadoes are ridiculously more quick and violent.

  Im OK, thanks for your concern guys! It missed my neighborhood by about 2 1/2 miles.
  I spent that night and all day yesterday working down at the damaged areas left by the tornado. Tornados are not something we are used to getting around here, so I was very impressed to see how well and coordinated the clean-up efforts have been going.
  Another one of lifes reminders not to take anything for granted.
