Rick, You aren't taking offers on it? It's pretty amazing seeing a BIN for $100 grand. I would be interested to see the offers you'd get, though. One things for sure - that card is a stunner...
I think listing it on Ebay, you are basically just using it to "show-off" and draw attention to your store. The same people looking at it now, are the same ones that could have bid on it thru the Mile High auction if they wanted it badly enough.....

( my reply ) ==> in theory I hear your point, but time will tell...I've bought HUNDREDS of items from major auction houses and sold them for profit on ebay.... also, I can't imagine that everybody saw it...why ? hey, they ( Mile High ) had a 2 page spread in SMR prior to the auction - and the card was NOT in the ad....and I googled the card prior to bidding and found NOTHING on it, which meant to me no PR....anyway, its a beauty and I'm enjoying my new purchase...
Since he paid 70K for it, I'm going to say the answer is no, LOL..
Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.

I think it's a flawed assumption to think that everyone who buys thru Mile High also buys thru eBay and visa versa.
I think 'showing off' a high profile item like this to draw attention to something is fine. I remember in the early days of the set registry, a few of us listed our sets on eBay with high starting prices to spread the word of graded set building. It was a way to get the word out. Since every item has its price, it's not like these items being listed were not for sale. It's just that it would take a very aggressive bid to pry them from the owner's hand.
Congrats on the purchase, very nice card... but I am confused about the issue with rough cuts. I understand the whole argument in favor of them, but what would happen if another card comes along with the same grading specs as yours but with smooth edges. Technically it should be considered a better grade if it shows a clean cut, but how can a better grade be given if rough cut gem 10 already exists. Pardon my ignorance if I'm missing something; I've only very recently returned to the collecting scene since my high school days some 10+ years ago.
And don't get me wrong, I think the card is spectacular!

At 28% a week you would have annualized losses of 1,456%.
I realize you are joking.
