Is a 2000 off center 25% Wide AM ANACS MS-66 RD worth corssing to PCGS?

I bought the coin along time ago as a ANACS (old white slab) as a 25% off center Lincoln at a shop as I thought it was neat and it was cheap. Got home and realized it was a wide AM cent also. It is graded MS-66 RD 25% off center struck. Being a double error would it be worth it to cross it and get the wide AM designation on there? I guess it comes down to value, looked and couldn't find much, what do you error experts think this would go for?

Thanks,

TN

    interesting question.

I think it'd bring more as a Wide AM cent, however I'm not sure if crossing it would be required in place of really good pictures.

I can't wait to hear what the experts say.

I'm not an error guru, but if such a coin was in my inventory, I'd ask $250 for it to make sure I'm not giving it away. It's unusual to see an error on a Wide AM.

It would probably sell for more in a PCGS slab but then it really depends on the buyer.
Myself I wouldn't care but if selling it in an auction it may do better plus getting the wide AM on the slab would help too.

ErrorsOnCoins had a nice one that was also an error.
    Here's a link to it:

These are not as rare as one would think. I have one in MS64red old ANACS(with the type 2 REV noted) that set me back about 50$. That being said I think GEN is a bit high at 250$ but even if that is close you would eat up alot of any profit with the mint error service which is costly.

Nice find, I have cherry picked a few of those myself. It is definitely worth more as a slabbed Off center Type 2. That said It is still worth quite a bit as it is In the little white slab and mislabeled. If you do sell it as is, You can always show a photo of the wide "A M". The coin is what the coin is.

    Again very nice cherry pick.

Not to be semanticly retentive (but as per PCGS's guidelines) it's not a double error but an error on a variety coin or a variety coin with an error.

I think if PCGS graded it they would put it in an error slab and note it "2000 Wide AM 25% off center" & DEFINITELY think it'd be worth it.

I doubt that the designation of "Wide AM" on the label (or however PCGS designates that variety - it's not an error, BTW) will not be worth the $50+ paid to crossover. The "Wide AM" variety is easy to distinguish for those who are seeking it.

Regarding value, it's a bit of a white elephant since it is a "rare" variety. My initial guess would be 20-30% more than an error-free "Wide AM" cent (no comment on whether or not the ANACS grade is correct by today's standards).
