Can you see anything wrong w/ this Bust Quarter?

I'm not implying there is, or isn't anything wrong with it. Just wondering if you can see anything wrong, or is it just a nice and crusty coin?

The photos make the coin look cast... but then again, it could just be the photos.

I agree with Larry. It looks cast. I also wonder if it could be a detector find.

It is a B-1 (extremely common marriage).

Looks like the pictures are causing all of the percieved issues. No way to tell exactly what the coin really looks like in hand...

image No way you can call it counterfeit based on the photos.

^^^ I dont think anyone flat used the C word, but is does look sand cast. At anyrate, it looks like surface corrosion damage, and I see some rim damage too. IMO, not a great old look.

It looks very porous and the several black spots are unattractive and detracting, IMHO.

It looks porous as opposed to crusty. But the pictures are too pixelated to be sure.

Its the picture. JPEG image artifacts from too high a compression make it impossible to tell.

If that's all I had to look at I would look else where.

The same pixalation / "artifacts" occur on the blue background just outside the rims as on the coin surface. Bad scan. Increase the DPI. Who knows what this coin looks like.

Take any coin pic and keep hitting the + increase pic size button and you will end up with a pixilated image like that.
No idea what the coin really looks like, it may be porous or it may not be. The background looks porous in that pic also.
Some coins are just plain "Interesting"
