    Charging Maryland sales tax, but location is in Delaware with 0% sales tax.

    That in itself IS NOT a red flag as the seller could have sales tax collection responsibility in Maryland which would not be uncommon for a seller near-by.

    Perhaps not the best coin to sell in your first Ebay auction.

    Legally true, but I have never had out of state sale tax collected by anyone but a big box retailer with a "presence" in the my state.

    Not necessarily a red flag but my interpretation:
    1) either the worlds most honest ebayer
    2) or a cut and paste of the verbiage from a Maryland seller.

    I'm tempted to stop reporting these "I'm only pretending to sell this to rip off eBay and PayPal" auctions.


    Why? eBay keeps raising their fees and we are working for them for free? I'm getting tired of it. They don't even toss a coupon my way. I've probably saved them 5 figures in the past 12 months reporting this kind of stuff and I have nothing but higher fees to show for it.


    Sure, not reporting this type of crap may raise fees more, but by then, I may be only on the BST. imageimageimageimageimageimage

    I didn't see them at the time. Many thanx to those that cared.
    PNG member, numismatic dealer since 1965. Operates a retail store, also has exhibited at over 1000 shows.
    I firmly believe in numismatics as the world's greatest hobby, but recognize that this is a luxury and without collectors, we can all spend/melt our collections/inventories.
