problem lincoln cent-clueless need help

As I sorted thru a bag of cents today pulling wheats and seperating them, I came across a 1945
cent that was bright and red, worthy of putting in a book being worked for my kids club. So I decided
to pull their book out and take a look. First off it didnt feel right, not sure how to describe that statement
but something was off. So I got thier book out, and the 45 was mushy so I decided to put this one in its place,
when I tryed it fell right out, its a smigen smaller than the one that was in there, feels lighter, almost like the feel of
a forgien coin, but it seems to be copper, does not stick to a magnet, and without a scale im at a loss. I look at
it and it even seems abe is smaller, details are smaller, not by alot but off? edit to add> on obv right under Liberty
there is a small hole and something going on the rim, lamination is best I can gather but cannot get pic of it. Also
its wavy, not bent but wavy, doesnt lay flat totally

well anyway-heres the best I can do-scans of the said coin (in the middle) of two normal ones, any ideas?

  • I think that due to the smaller portrait that it is not a product of the U.S. Mint. Why anyone would make a counterfeit 1945 cent, I don't know. Maybe they were testing things before they made a rare date.

Aside from the defective planchette, I see nothing wrong with the coin.

What does the edge look like? Small possibility that it was in a "lucky penny"
holder, since you say it it's a bit smaller in diameter?

fred where you see the lamination under liberty and rev at the start of e pluribus
is a void or a missing chunk of planchette, otherwise the rim is fine also, does not
appear to have been in a holder even though it is "wavy" or somewhat bent.
