Summer Break: ryk -style

As has become tradition, I plan to take a 3 month (or so) hiatus from coins, the forum, etc. It is something that I have found quite rejuvenating and has benefited me as a collector (and parent, husband, professional, etc.) over the past few years. I highly recommend it to others to avoid coin burnout.
At any rate, my PM will be turned off at the end of the week. My checks and coins are in the mail, for those of you are expecting to receive something from me.
If you have any dirty gold questions or issues, I will be available at ryk@blackandgoldcoins.com.
I will return briefly for a show report for the late July Missouri Coin Festival St. Louis/St. Charles coin show and then again around the ANA. I hope to see many of you at the ANA show in Chicago. I will be the one wearing the Steelers black and gold special limited deluxe edition (read: Bochiman does not have one and never will!
) CRO cap.
I wish you all a healthy, propserous, and safe (and drier) spring and summer and look forward to coming back to the forum (assuming that it is still here) in the late summer. Until then, my friends...

I'll see you at the ANA.
<< <i>Hold on, let me get this straight... you are taking a 3 month break from coins but you are still attending at least 2 coin shows during that time??? Or are you just taking a break from this forum? >>
Let's see...I'll do the math for you:
Late April (month 4) to Late July (month 7) = 4 + 3 =7 That's 3 months.
If your math works out differently, let me know.
AWWWWW! Now who's gonna tell me how junky my coins are!
I like your prints.
Are you going to get someone to take your place for the wise cracks?
Five out of your next seven purchases will be awful, but I do not know which five at this time. That should at least take us into mid-May.

Ok mr. smarty pants, sorry I didn't notice that you mentioned the month in your first post. But thanks for the math part, I couldn't have done it without you, in fact I might have to show my calculus professor your math calculations just to double check... adding can be very tricky at times

Have a safe and fun time.
I lost an eBay lot yesterday ... and find I didn't really care.
Even more evidence of burnout: I won an eBay lot for my secret collection 2 last Mar. 31. It got lost in the mail. The seller, with whom I had dealt many times before, quickly refunded my money. I was happy to get the money back and didn't really care that much about the lot (which never did show up.)
New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.
