Yep, one of these days silver will correct $5 back to $52 an ounce and the people who have been saying it was overpriced since $20 will say, "See, told ya so." --jerry

Yeah, the same people that were bad-mouthing silver at $6, and $10, then $15, and $20, etc, etc. .....will continue to do so until they finally get their call "right."
The correction won't last too long though. $50 silver will seem cheap by end the year or in early 2012.

I don't like it either but it's starting to play out as expected. I guess what I don't like about it is that it's going to make a mess. A lot of shenanigans are going to be exposed among some very powerful people.
It seems gold is responding in sympathy largely because of the destabilizing effect of silver increasing.
$48.50 now. This is starting to get really crazy. I don't mind a run up on, but $1.85 / 4% in a couple of hours since trading opened? Makes me nervous.

I'm selling 5% of my remaining holdings every $5 up, and have been since it crossed $30. Have made 4 sales so far ($30, $35, $40 & $45). Looks like another sale @ $50 may be close by. So far, my first sale has been my worst sale...and that's the way I like it!

My concern is that the cost of searching raw coins has now gone through the roof! It's not just about silver anymore, it's about everyday collecting unless your into modern zincolns, nickels and post 65 dimes, quarters and halfs.

I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.
IMHO the real test will be to see if it can push through the $50 barrier when we get there...the first attempt today doesn't look too promising...the question is how many sellers are out there at $49.XX.
Lot of selling pressure as silver was closing in on 50. Now it is down .48. It will get probably get to 50(not today) but there is a lot of selling pressure the closer it gets.

It has gotten so crazy that for going to coin shows, I am now saving up silver rather than money. I buy silver each week, with the idea of cashing in shortly before the show. I just hope I don't get smacked with a big correction right before the big show in July, happening in, fittingly enough, Las Vegas.
