You got screwed. I think I see the hint of a rim on the reverse from 12:30 to 2:30.

This may just be sour grapes.

I myself may have screwed up about a year and a half when I didn't pull the trigger on a 1904 $20 in an old ANACS cache holder graded FR02. I was concerned that it would not downgrade to PCGS PO01, after which it would have been worth big bucks.

Good thing you don't take sharp photo's...a description probaby would have been enough too. Didn't know they were doing lowballs back then. Someone was a pioneer.

Coin doctors have no problem inducing "artificial wear".

    It's the crust that's tough.

    But they're working on it.

Is that pop 1 coin necessarily a good thing??? I never understood buying the lowest graded coins available, wouldn't you like to see the details on the coin itself?

if you do not collect low ball coins and if you paid right.. there might be a nice profit to be made there. nice pickups depending on the price ;-) !!

POP 1 means nothing to me. I don't play the registry game. Just a good tread topic attention getter.

<< <i>I never understood buying the lowest graded coins available, wouldn't you like to see the details on the coin itself? >>

I have multiple examples in my collection with details I can look at.

Have any idea how hard it is to make a PCGS PO01 coin that is problem free and can be identified by date?

This pair of coins are NOT for sale. I keep having to tell fellow formites, sometime it is about the coolness factor(my coolness factor) and NOT about the money. SOMETIMES IT IS ALL ABOUT COLLECTING WHAT YOU LIKE! Screw the $$$$$$$$$. Sorry about the shouting, image

I will be keeping both these OGH PCGS PO01 draped busts for a while. Not everybodys cup of tea, but I just love the coolness factor.
