    That's what I use.
  • GOO - GONE

The only thing to use. Just na couple of drops it on the sticker and let it sit a minute and peel the
thing right off. Same with residue. It will wipe off real easy. Will NOT hurt nothing ! Been using it 4-ever

We use goo-gone too, but be careful and not soak your hands in it... that stuff is potent!

Goo gone or just basic mineral oil which is basically what Goo Gone consists off minus the citrusy fragrance..

Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.
  • Hi,

I use alcohol swabs of the type for injections. They work perfectly and evaporate as fart as you can dry them I have used them on PCGS and NGC slabs with no trouble at all. Very fast and no problems. I'd not use GOO GONE or any stuff like that but that's me.

    Thanks for the info image
  • Hi there,

WD40:* 50%: Stoddard solvent (i.e., mineral spirits – primarily hexane, somewhat similar to kerosene)
    * 25%: Liquefied petroleum gas (presumably as a propellant; carbon dioxide is now used instead to reduce WD-40's
    considerable flammability)
    * 15+%: Mineral oil (light lubricating oil)
    * 10-%: Inert ingredients - such as?

Alcohol - 70% or 90% alcohol, denatured or whatever water.

Plain old bottle of 91% Alcohol and a rag. One pint bottle costs about 87¢ at Wall Mart.

Yes indeed image Who wants all that other stuff on the slab...potential residue, slab color change(?) etc.

    Nose grease. It works.

Buyer and seller of vintage coin boards!

  • Why do these auction companies keep putting stickers on everything? I just bought a bunch of GSA's and all of them had a sticker on there that could survive a nuclear blast!

I've used ether based engine starting fluid also. Just make sure there is adequate ventilation with the stuff. And no source of flame nearby either. image
