When does PCGS charge your credit card?

At what point in the submission does PCGS charge your credit card? I just noticed they charged my card today, does that mean the submission is nearly done, or no?

If I remember correctly it is charged during receiving. They won't grade if it bounces.

Last week they charged my card the day after they received my order. No grades yet and they are not expected until late next week at the earliest but most likely the week after.

This has been my experience. This is also the time they check to make sure all the info is correct. On one of my last orders I was not specific enough and they were uncertain whether I wanted the variety service which would have been another fee. The order went on receive hold until it was cleared up and my CCard charged immediately thereafter.

They usually charge mine when they check out of the hotel!
