Waves of patriotism sweep over me whenever I view a portrait of an American Bald Eagle. It is one of the joys of collecting United States coins. All the various incarnations of the eagle. It makes me proud.
Has there ever been a coin or a medal or a pattern that featured this majestic bird on the obverse instead of the reverse? If so, I'd love to know about it or even see a photo of it.
