"Details" designation.

What would be the price difference in a coin that grades "XF DETAILS" vs. XF etc...? Is there a protocol you guys follow to determine this? Just curious. Thanks in advance!

Generally speaking you loose at least 1/2 it's value maybe more. If you were talking 1964 quarter then 99% of it's numismatic value is gone and a 1838 quarter around 60% to 70%. If it's a light cleaning and retains a good look then less.
<< <i>"Details" and "Net" both mean the same thing to me: Pass, ignore, move along, look for a problem-free example. (Most of the time it means "melt" too.) This may be harsh, but that's my reaction. >>

The market is not that liquid for these type of coins.
