Interesting Item-Sealed CC Bank Roll (?!?!?)

RichRRichR Posts: 3,930 ✭✭✭✭✭
If authentic, can't say that I've seen many of these:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ULTRA-RARE-SEALED-Morgan-Dollar-CC-State-Bank-Roll-/290557764579?pt=Coins_US_Individual&hash=item43a697a3e3

I'll add that I have nothing to do with this item.

The 10 (so far) bidders might not agree...not that I'm one of them.

But there is an interesting story posted with the item...once again, interesting if not a scam.

If its so rare why has he sold 7 of them recently. I say they aren't legit.
If I say something in the woods, and my wife isn't around. Am I still wrong?

However, you must admit that he's doing extremely well on the final price of each and every one!

I'll assume the coins inside are real...and not China specials...but I wouldn't bet too much on that either!

I think the Oopa Loopas rolled some of these at the Wonka factory!

Check out the folks that have bought from him. He has sold a few of these rolls ranging in price from $3K to $5K and then one full stack for over $7K. HERE

One person even lists what was found in the roll and seems to indicate a value of about $1500 oposed to the high cost payed they payed on eBay.

Britannic Bold + Old English Text MT + Paper lunch bags = as many fake rolls as you want.
  • Some CC rolls were listed in his feedback as ultra rare, some merely rare. I want a nuclear hot rare CC roll.image

"A CC bank is not the CC mint its like all other banks they get coins from all over. A CC bank just means there is a higher probablity of CCs in the roll just like a San Francisco bank has many more S coins than a NY bank."

There are a lot of suckers cruising ebay so I would not use the number of bids as a guide to whats genuine or not.

The 1885 obverse does not look like an 1885-CC. It has the strike and look of an 1885-O in my opinion.

I would run from this one.
