  I just have a link to my ancients in my sig here. My U.S. coins I have them listed on NGC CS but no photos of them so I dont bother.

  Yes, see my sig line. And it does work, a while back I had a person contact me with a couple of Geo. III halfpennies I needed for a very reasonable price.

  Why would anyone want to market their collection if they have no intention of selling it?

  It builds their "brand" for when they do sell it.

  I knew of a forum member (no names of coarse) who like to put their coins on the forum for discussion and then the next day stick them on the BST. That's a good marketing idea.

  I've had all my Barbers professionally imaged -
  and displayed on the Barber Mega Thread, as well
  as my signiture line.
  
  I wanted to have a photographic record of my
  collection prior to selling. As it turns out, my Barbers
  and IHC Error collections are going on the block in
  Heritage's pre-ANA Auction - August 11 and 12th.
