Question re valuation caps for PCGS submission tiers

How strict are the hosts in applying the $300 valuation cap on the economy tier? As an example, I have one coin I would like to submit which is valued @ $330 (Bluesheet) in the grade which I think it will achieve. Should $300 or $330 be entered in the value column? Also, anyone think the $300 cap is a bit low, and was it higher previously?

Their default is $50 (if left blank). I have been told the valuation is more for the submitter since the value is the insured amount. It's you valuation.

I think there is some wiggle room in the numbers within reason... but if you're submitting a few dozen 1909-S VDBs and saying they are worth less than $300 each, you can expect PCGS to charge you extra.
