Any info? 1993 baseball aces playing card autos

does anybody have any information about the autographs that were randomly inserted into the 1993 baseball aces playing card set? apparently 3 players (cal ripken jr. fred mcgriff and terry pendleton) signed a very small number of cards and were inserted into the deck of cards. here's a link to a unsigned ripken ripken does anybody own one of these, or know someone that does? anybody ever seen one? know how many were signed? if you have any type of information on these cards please provide it here. thanks for any help you can contribute.

yes, that is one of the reasons i am asking. another one was found in a card shop in portland and sold yesterday for a undisclosed amount (assuming 4 figures). i personally think both buyers are crazy, however nobody seems to know much about them or how rare they really are which is why i thought i would try here.

I would not invest a ton in these things because there apparently is nothing that denotes the base card from the AUTO. If these things start gaining some attention people will get the cards signed by Ripken (which even if differentiated from earlier versions of his signature - diminish the appeal) or straight up forge his signature on those base cards. And there seems to be no production or # of sigs information.

$400-$500 seems right to me - $2000 grand really stretching it - $6500 really getting carried away

Of there is nothing that sets it apart from the regular version, I wouldn't be surprised if someone has forgeries ready to put into the hobby.

Okay, from my collection is an original cardboard display "point of purchase" sign from the promotion back from 1993. As noted, one deck in each display contains an autographed card (not sure by just one of the players listed or all of them). Anyways, I would suspect that there are a few hundred signed copies of each:

The display was a floor model one and I would imagine that there was at least 100 decks of cards in it (I recall getting this in a "Phar Mor" in Shillington, PA)

and while I'm not certainly speaking for Cal, I guarantee you that to do an autograph deal with him (i.e. 1992 Elite), you'd have to have a few hundred from him to sign to do it (in other words, he wouldn't have signed just 10 or something along those lines).
