I need a CRO hat by next weekend!
Someone please send me one
(that way, I can be the cool kid at the local show, and others can spot me and know who it is.....FREE advertising
)
Hmmm...PNNA show coming up, no CRO, and I need to figure out what to wear to be conspicuous.....I could ask RYK for something Stealers-like, but I don't want my Seahawks brethren to beat the crap out of me by mistake.....

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

Umm...I have four now.

CJ: 'No one!' [Ain't no angels in the coin biz]
When I bought my coin, there were no hats
Then, when I went for a different one, I was too late (saw the "you didn't get this one in time and we sold it already, fool!" label on the website.

Not really looking for much these days but if I were, it might be a toner.
<< <i>Even I have a couple of them - they are really stylish at the country club - no one else there has one.
Among us engineering types, CRO is an antiquated piece of test equipment (cathode ray oscilloscope). But the coin nerd
in me says they're cool.

and like the soup I cannot come back in one year
sorry ron if I had one I wouldve helped, but now I even feel at a loss.

Recently purchased a coin but no hat.
<< <i>Gee, in the link it says one per customer. Hmmm >>
That was meant to be per transaction.
If you buy something in January, for example, and something else in March, you would be entitled to one each time, which is how MLC amassed a collection of 4.

I did not know that. Last week, I walked around Chicago with a hat from Sundance, and I could have been wearing a new CRO hat.
<< <i>Cool collectors ALWAYS wear a CRO cap to coin shows. Had you not taken a shot at the STEELERS, I would have sent you one of mine. >>
Steeler fans have long memories, don't they?
New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

Do you not have more than color?
<< <i>I must not be in "The CRO Circle of Trust."
Recently purchased a coin but no hat.
Did you follow step two of the link:
2. Say "I would like a hat."
Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......

My transaction was via email and I didn't know at the time that a hat was available with a coin purchase. When we talk about life experiences, me not getting a hat, rates pretty low as a "moment to remember".
I got a super coin so I'll be able to continue on.

<< <i>I guess if you still need a CRO hat by next weekend then you should make a nice expensive purchase on Monday morning and convince CRO to ship the coin and hat out to you very quickly.
CRO overnights most coin shipments. You could order a coin on Thursday, and, in many instances, have coin and hat in hand by the weekend.
It's just a hat!
<< <i>So a good dealer tries to have a little fun and do something nice for their customers, and they get criticized publicly and have to defend themselves.

Yeah, but so do those of us who were robbed of our superbowl by the refs...
(RYK knows I like to rib him on the black and blue...errr....gold)
(note: this thread wasn't made to get people up in arms with CRO...just meant to be good natured and a way to get recognized at the PNNA show and tease a few coin folks at the same time....folks I know have the hats (from previous posts they have done) like RYK and others. It all is what it is and a hat doesn't make or break things; just meant to be fun )

I feel like I should send them a hat next time I sell them a coin. Hmmmm....
<< <i>I don't go anywhere without my CRO hat! >>
I really enjoy your photographs of the hats.
We should do a "Flat Stanley"-like project, with forum members showing photos of themselves wearing the hats in various places. Of course, Bochiman, who is still at home complaining about calls in the Super Bowl five years ago, will not be able to participate.
<< <i>You guys suck!

Yes, I think CRO should send a hat to customers who have purchased previously from them.
I give away money. I collect money.
I don’t love money . I do love the Lord God.
it is very special
<< <i>They give out HATS!!! >>
No, they SELL the hats, at various prices, and the coins are free

Or is it separate?
I bet wearing a crown at the PNNA show you might get more of a red carpet treatment then Longacre gets... Or Not

Sorry - not going to happen. I prefer to use the classic colors of famous universities. The Ohio State version is a killer.
<< <i>If you eat "CRO" will you be eating your hat? >>
I actually worked on a mock-up of a black bird logo, but never did anything with it.
this is going to go on longer than the "superbowl debacle"

<< <i>Make them collectible---put the year and 'mint mark' (D or J) on the back. >>
In addition to different colors, there is a design difference between Year 1 and Year 2 hats (unless my Year 1 is the rare "CRO"-less error hat).
<< <i>if I were the powers that be I would have shipped ron a hat already to shut himmup

That's a good point, and I was considering buying a coin and having the hat shipped to Ron just to mollify him. I was also thinking of having a replica Lombardi trophy crafted for Super Bowl XL, listing the Seahawks as the winners. Alas, neither is going to happen.

This was the special edition 2010 Boston ANA version in the colors of the Boston Red Sox:

Not an issue I'm not a hat guy anyway, but if you ever make kids sizes I'll ask for one.
