Who here is the best person to consign coins to for sale on ebay?

I figure some of you are getting powerseller discounts and have time and staff to sell coins on Ebay.

Say I have 200-600 raw coins most under $100 and many under $50 I want to "blow out"

Given I don't have the time to photograph the coins, fill the orders etc I am guessing for those who do this as a business they do.

Who does the best job, gets the best prices and charges best rates?

Who do I want to call and why?

I seldom check PM's but do check emails often jason@seated.org

I am not sure if anyone here will be interested in imaging and listing on eBay 600 coins under $50.

I'd have to agree with RYK on that one.

Carl Wolforth would help you bundle and gain maximum cash on your lot. He helped me dump a bunch and did it very professionally. I would use him again.

I would say Jeremy (Airplanenut). But, check with notwilight (Jerry) as well.

Also, contact Ian at greatcollections.com and see how his deal stacks up against Jeremy and Jerry. All (3) are worth looking into.

How much money do you expect to realize on the sale of a $50 coin?

Jeremy, great pictures, efficient lay out ,reasonable fees, extreme integrity and fast service.

He is one of the great assets of the Forum and has certainly done well by

I agree with all of you about the work, heck if I want to do it, I would have done it by now but I see people doing it with $10-$20 coins all day long and wonder how do they find the time? Then again there are a few guys at shows who will put a number on anything.

I do coins valued like that regularly- maybe not all the time, though. Difference being- they're my coins and I get all the profit, not just a fraction of it.

Professionalism includes Jeremy (airplanenut) and Russ (resco). They do great photog work, are clear, professional, straight up and consummately honest.

I know there are others and I know you will get posts on those I have missed. But you can talk with those two on your needs and work out any arrangements. I have full confidence in either one and you would be well-served by either.

Didn't Russ take coins on consignment for sale on eBay?

Russ sold off the last of my collection for me on ebay. His photos were great, the write ups were to the point, the business was transacted without a hitch and his check was right on time and to the penny. I wouldn't hesitate to consign any collectible to him, he's extremely knowledgeable in a lot of areas. He'd be my choice.

Same here. Russ helped to sell some of my collection a couple of years ago and did an A++++ job.

I'd also suggest Russ for stuff like that. If he has time to continue hunting for glassware and barbie dolls, he can do those image

Because you did not have more to sell me - actually I just purchased a lot of random stuff which I later upgraded so I would buy 5x more than I would sell until finally wanted to trim down to a better level.

I figured you were working on the endless task of forming a full Fortin variety set.
  • I guess it would come down to commission rates. I'm available, have 100% positive feedback on Ebay, user name 03894, and can take a coin pic or two. Just sold a bunch of stuff for a local collector.

Shoot me an email if you'd like, borobay2@metrocast.net.
