West Palm Beach coin show on the 27th

I am in Florida on business and some pleasure and noticed this show. I was wondering whether anyone on the forum has been to it, knows about it or is setting up there. Also, are there any coin shops between West Palm and Jupiter, FLA worth a visit? I generally collect early circulated type. Thank you in advance. I will probably stop at the show...just in case.

Expect a wide range of material, but as with most smaller shows across the country, >70% will raw, with lots of dreck, widgets, and problem coins on display. But there are usually some better coins here and there if you do some searching. Don't let the prices scare you; several of the regulars put outrageous prices on their coins, but will come way down with a little haggling. And bring your Greysheet; it's like a bible to most of these guys, and you can usually buy even the nice stuff for around sheet prices. I don't know any B&M guys down that way, but forum member Seateddime might. Good luck, and give us a report!

CoinWorld did list a show in Brandon (east of Tampa), on Saturday, at the Brandon Elks Club,
so depending where you are, you may want to hit one or both of them.

I saw a 1864 5 lib in ngc 55 the dealer asking $5500.
I bought a1959 frankie, NGC 65 in an old fattie.
I believe it to be fbl. some color too.
Paid $45.00.

I was well impressed despite the fact that I came away empty handed.
The show, at about 55 tables, was fairly large and busy. ICG was there grading coins and former ANA pres Gary Lewis had a table as well. Traffic seemed heavy.
Upon arriving I went to a far corner to start, as is my norm. The first table i went to was full of original, circulated early type. There were at least 2 cases of original material, mostly in lower circulated grades, mostly slabbed. The dealer also had his coins divided by grading service, which I haven't seen before: PCGS, NGC, ANACS, others. Alas, I did not have my bust half or bust quarter lists to even know what varieties I need and I had no other material so I was a bit hampered. Also, I am also generally sheepish in a new venue...better safe than sorry. I nearly purchased a nice Am Plantation restrike in a PCGS 45 holder. It was nice. Walkerguy was right on pricing comments though...marked prices were high...the price tag on this coin was a wopping $1850, but the seller offered it to me for 1k. I ended up passing on that coin, my favorite in the hall, and I may regret it, but I don't really know the coin well and 1k still is a bit high for an xf restrike, I think, even a nice one. I also passed on an ANACS AU-55 1838 half listed for about $900 but available for about $600. No real regrets there. There were other good dealers and other nice coins, but nothing as interesting as that first table. There was also a lot of common and low grade collector coins which didn't interest me.
All in all, a nice show and visit. I like this type of small show and occasionally find and spring for a nice or unusual coin. On my last off-the-beaten-path show, in Salisbury Md. I picked up a 1776 8 escudo in au-50, a nice find and I passed on (and should have purchased) a very nice 1921 merc in PCGS au-58. On this visit though, I decided to hold out for Baltimore, so we'll see what tomorrow brings.
