Best option to sell 30 1964 post market mint sets?

Many of these sets contain nice toned quarters or dimes. Even some iridescent nickels. Can I get more than melt? image

First you need to recognize these are not Mint sets but date sets. Second, because they're date sets and non-Mint products, they're only worth melt.

Depends on the condition of the coins... if they're MS67 or higher, they're worth more than melt. If they're MS65 or higher with very eye appealing toning, they're worth more than melt. If the Roosies torch has full lines, they're probably worth more than melt. If the Jeffersons have full steps, they're definitely worth more than melt.

I'll pay ten cents over melt.
In other news: silver is over $38 per ounce today. It wasn't long ago a silver quarter bought a gallon of gas. There were gas wars in them days...The year was 1967 if I recall correctly. Today, that silver quarter will buy 2 gallons, plus you'll get change . Change you can count on ....CLAD

Is this the best option you've gotten so far ?

Keep the silver - at least the toners. Sell the rest on BST.
Keep the toner nickels and cents - or put them on BST.
Spend the other cents and nickels.

  • I have a few of those kind of sets also. I was looking at them the other day and was impressed with the toning.
I'm thinking of doing something with them also.

You probably would get more than melt, if you post it in the BST... Theres always plenty of collectors out there for this kind of stuff.
