"Choice" AG3 1803 Large Cent

This coin I recently aquired from Shawn Yancey. It is in a PCGS AG3 holder. Although it is one of the lowest grade coins I have ever purchased, I like it. This is one of the rarest Sheldon varieties in the Redbook.

1803 Large Date, Small Fraction. S-264 R4+. Noyes: Good5 net Good4. CC#47. Ex: Mark Englestad.

Very choice surfaces for an S-264 which is normally found with some or major corrosion. Congratulations on a nice pickup for your collection!

It astounds me there are like 300 Sheldon varieties and people can describe the striking characeristics of all of them.
