Went through a $ 1000 bag/Qtrs. from the bank....

I asked my little rinky dink bank if I could buy their bags from them that come out of their sorting machine. Of course I asked them first if anyone brought in very large amounts (sorters already been through them) They said no, most people bring in $ 100 - $ 200. So I picked up a $ 1000 bag of quarters, $ 200 of nickels and a $ 50 bag of pennies. I just got done going through the quarters... take a guess what I found (silver/errors/etc) and then scroll down.

16 1976 quarters.... lol... that's it. Didn't take me long as I did a side check and picked out Min & Wis. quarters. So now I'm about to open the nickel bag and look for war nickels. Should I take more time trying to find a certain date or error? What do you think I'll find in there.... guess now.

I am pretty curious as to what you will find. I plan on trying to pick up a bag of dimes and a bag nickels in a few weeks and am hoping for some good finds. Good luck!
OK, going to hit the bag now... lets see what I get....
<< <i>Im pretty sure those sorting machines have all the silver stick to a magnetic bar before going in. I doubt you will ever find silver in any of those bags. >>
Silver is not magnetic.
from really sharp high-grade coins of any date, to `its copper`
nickels, i save the best examples of mostly better-dates, ie; `82, `83 p&d
but, any one that has some wow-factor to it, however small sometimes.
last week or so, at walmart/coinstar waiting on a couple to do all their
bags of change. got tired of waiting so to a smoke break, came back,
still there. wow, so it wasnt long then and they finally left.
i start doing my one small coffee can and checking the return to toss
back in when i noticed one was a silver roosie. a vg 8 ? `50 d
it must have gotten spit out after the couple left cause they
cleaned the shute before they left, im sure..
Done... Here are the results; No # after the date means just one....

What kind of silver have you seen that is magnetic????
You CAN find silver in those bags.....now, some of the coinstar machines have been known to kick some silver out, but the credit union sorter mine has won't kick out silver and will process it.
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
