Looks much better in hand,
spot on lower left is a flake of something but not on coin.
XF grade wise ?
Will it grade ?

On the positive side there is still luster and dirt on the coin so it probably hasn't been badly cleaned. But on the photo provided it looks "shiny" enough in the fields
where there might be some concerns.

But.....I think the fact that there is still grunge and luster on the coin will sway it to the positive side. If as you say that "spot" is not on the coin, then great.

When I first clicked on it I thought it looked lightly whizzed.

I could just as easily say polished as not. I agree with XF.

Looks like an XF40 with possible cleaning. I see hairlines but they could be from circulation rather than cleaning.

I don't see why it wouldn't grade, and I've owned far worse looking Classic $5 coins in XF40 holders... at least once, maybe twice. One I can remember was an ANACS EF40 (old small holder) that had nowhere near the eye appeal and detail of that piece.

I say XF45 and would not be astonished if it went AU50, but that is perhaps wishful thinking for your sake.

Let's put my guess down as XF45, plus or minus five points.

XF45 details (cleaned/ex. jewelry)... Possible some rubbing, or light wipe in the coin's field. Is that a soldier mark near the rims reverse @ 7 o'clock ???
Coin appears identical to my 1835.
    Good luck...
